Methods Machine Tools MB 650U AMP 5-axis machine tool combined with automation system
Methods Machine Tools Inc. has released the MB 650U Automatic Manufacturing Package (MB 650U AMP), which combines a 5-axis MB 650U with a six-pallet Indunorm automatic pallet changer (APC).
The APC measures 82.68 by 82.68 in. but gives the machine the ability to complete multiple workpieces without the need for additional automation. The work envelope is 19.7 in. dia. and 19.7 in. high.
The machine has a 48-tool ATC. It incorporates a Big-Plus 40-taper, direct-drive, 15,000-RPM spindle with 25 HP.
