Creaform has introduced the MetraSCAN 3D-R automated dimensional inspection device.
This system has a new productivity station and autocalibration kit, which are both key upgrades to help ensure efficiency, resulting in increased inspection cycles and throughput, the company states.
Designed for shop floor measurement applications, the device inspects up to hundreds of parts a day, even on complex surfaces. It allows users to carry out data acquisition while simultaneously analyzing previously acquired data, enabling the robot to operate continuously.
An automatic field calibration procedure means there is no accuracy drift over time and continuous operation.
