ACU-RITE droPWR bluetooth-enabled tablet becomes digital readout system

ACU-RITE, a HEIDENHAIN brand, has developed the droPWR, a Bluetooth-enabled digital readout (DRO).

The system enables an iPad tablet to become a DRO, doing everything that an ACU-RITE DRO can do, except without needing any cables between tablet and machine tool.

Bluetooth technology, along with an IBT interface box in the droPWR system, allows connection to multiple machine configurations on one tablet, including for milling, turning, and grinding machines with up to six axes. Designed to be simple and functional, this tablet DRO can be moved and used with various machines, making it suitable for many production environments such as small shops and students in shop class.

The tablet DRO combines the familiar user experience from a traditional DRO with modern touch screen. The system includes new software, an IBT interface box suitable for the machine tool, and relevant encoders and brackets, if needed.

A tablet with iOS 15 or newer is required.
