The L.S. Starrett Co. offers the new Intenss bimetal band saw blades for general-purpose metal sawing of a variety of materials and shapes. Featuring the manufacturer’s patented bimetal unique® technology that provides 170% more weld contact with the teeth, the blades are resistant to tooth strippage, which reduces fracture and breakage. In addition, M-42 teeth with a multiedge tooth design help produce split chips for faster cutting.
The blades are available in 1/2-, 3/4-, and 1-in. widths and 0.025- and 0.035-in. thicknesses. Blades with 1-1/4- or 1-1/2-in. widths and 0.035- and 0.042-in. thicknesses also are available, but without the bimetal unique feature.
